Konark Ties

Konark Ties is located on 8th Main Road in the Beml 3rd Stage part of Rajarajeshwari Nagar. It is a bit of a trek from the main city center, but it’s a nice area to be in. Our place is at No.230. It’s mostly about ties here, obviously. We have boxes of them stacked up and sometimes it’s hard to find a specific color if the light isn’t hitting the rack just right. The shop is on a fairly wide road, so it’s not as cramped as some of the places downtown. I spend most of my time reorganizing the stock or talking to people who wander in. Some days are very quiet, and I just sit by the door and watch the traffic go by on 8th Main. Other days, we get a few people at once and the place feels very full. The flooring is that old tile that stays cool even when it’s hot outside. We have a small fan that makes a bit of a clicking noise, but you get used to it after a while. Most of our regulars are from around the neighborhood or people who work in the nearby offices. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Usually, someone just sees the sign and comes in because they need a tie for a wedding or an interview. It’s just a normal shop doing its thing, day in and day out, without much fuss or fanfare.
