Our setup is over at 5/1 16th Cross in Lakkasandra, Bangalore. We operate care of Syed Zabiulla. It’s a small place, but it fits us just fine for the work we do. K.Mohan is the name on the door, though most people around here just know us by being in the building. Lakkasandra is a crowded area with narrow streets, so it feels very lived-in and tight. We don’t have a big corporate lobby or a secretary waiting to greet you. Usually, you just walk right in and someone will be there to help you out. The work we do is pretty hands-on. We spend a lot of time talking things through and making sure the daily tasks are sorted before the day ends. There’s no big mystery to how we run things. We use old desks and chairs that have been around almost as long as the business has. The 16th Cross has its own little ecosystem of small shops and family homes. We feel like a part of that community. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find people walking around in suits. We wear what’s comfortable for the physical work. Sometimes we stay late if there’s a lot to do, but we try to get home for dinner whenever possible. The air is often filled with the smell of cooking from the nearby houses during the time we eat lunch. It’s a very human way to run a business. We don’t have any grand statements or goals. We just show up, do the work, and go home.
