Our workshop is over at F-56 in the Industrial Estate here in Bengaluru. It’s a busy area with trucks moving in and out all day long. Being in an industrial zone means it’s always loud and there’s always something happening. We focus on engineering products, which mostly means a lot of metal, welding, and loud machines. We have a small crew of guys who have been with us for a long time. They know how the machines sound when they’re running right and when they need a bit of oil. The floor is concrete and usually pretty cold in the mornings. We don’t have a fancy front office with air conditioning. Instead, we have a small desk tucked in the corner where we keep the logs and orders. People come to us when they need specific parts made. We don’t do a lot of advertising because word of mouth in the estate usually keeps us busy enough. Bengaluru is a big city but this little corner of the industrial estate feels like its own world. We drink a lot of coffee and try to stay on top of the schedule. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we spend half the day fixing it ourselves. It’s just how it goes in this line of work. We aren't corporate types, just people who like making things with our hands.
