Kannan Stores

People usually find us because we are right near the Taj hotel in the Parvati Industrial Estate. We have been at 1 Quadrant Square for a good while now. Shivaji Nagar is a busy place and there is always something going on outside the door. Most days we are just busy unpacking boxes or helping people who work in the nearby factories. It gets a bit dusty with all the traffic, but we just wipe the counters and keep going. The morning tea stall next door is where we get our start. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. It is just a regular shop where you can get what you need without a fuss. Sometimes the delivery trucks take forever to unload in the square. We have seen a lot of shops come and go around here, but we are still in the same spot. It is a lot of work running a place in an industrial area like this one. You meet all sorts of people, from truck drivers to office workers. We try to keep the shelves full, though sometimes we run out of things when the supplier is late. It is just the way it goes. We open early and stay until the street lights come on. It is a simple life and we are used to the noise and the crowds by now.
