Kaapi Katte

If you go down to the Vaibhai Laxmi Market in Nayandahalli, you’ll find us at number 1160. Kaapi Katte is a small spot, really. Most of the time, the air is thick with the smell of coffee being brewed. It’s a noisy place because the market is right there, with people shouting and trucks moving stuff around all the time. We don't have a lot of space, so people usually just stand around or grab their cup and head back to their stalls. We keep things simple. There isn't a huge menu with things nobody can pronounce. Just the usual stuff people look for in the morning or during a quick afternoon break. The floor gets a bit dusty because of all the foot traffic from the market, so we’re always sweeping. Our counters are worn down from years of cups being slid across them. It’s a local crowd mostly. We see the same faces every day, and we know who likes their drink extra strong. Sometimes we have a little bit of a wait when everyone shows up at once, but nobody seems to mind too much. It’s just how it is at the market. We aren't trying to be anything other than a place to get a good drink and a quick bite before getting back to work. We just keep the filter coffee flowing and the snacks ready for the morning crowd.
