We’re up on the first floor at number 60, right on 3rd Main Road in Kasturba Nagar. K. International Textiles Pvt. Ltd. has been in this building for quite a bit. If you come up the stairs, you’ll see rolls of fabric sitting in the hallway sometimes when we’re moving stock. It’s a textile business, so there’s always thread and bits of cloth everywhere. The office is a bit cramped because we have so many samples hanging on the walls. We deal with all sorts of fabrics and garments. It’s a lot of checking colors and feeling the weight of the material. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room with magazines. You just walk in and someone will be there at a desk covered in swatches. We talk to weavers and we talk to buyers. It’s mostly just us trying to make sure the orders are correct. The 3rd Main Road gets pretty busy, especially in the afternoons, so it can be a bit noisy with all the horns. We don't mind it much anymore. We’ve grown used to the rhythm of Kasturba Nagar. We aren't a high-end fashion boutique. We’re just a textile company getting the work done. The tea lady comes by at four, and that’s usually the highlight of the afternoon. We just keep at it.
