Junior Service Engineer

Working as a Junior Service Engineer over at Hindustan Aeronautits Limited in the 2nd Stage area is quite an experience. The facility is massive and sometimes it feels like a maze trying to get from one section to another. My specific spot is at 2498 and it’s where most of the technical troubleshooting happens for the equipment we handle. It is noisy and busy pretty much all the time. I spend a lot of my day carrying tools and checking on systems that need regular maintenance. It’s not a desk job where you sit in front of a screen all day; I’m usually on my feet moving between different hangars or workshops. The HAL area in Bangalore is a bit of a landmark so everyone knows where we are. Being a junior means I’m still learning the specific quirks of the machinery we use. We have a canteen that serves decent food which is usually where we all end up complaining about the workload. The weather in this part of town can be unpredictable so we are always checking if we need to cover up the gear. It’s a very practical environment and nobody cares much about what you’re wearing as long as you have your safety boots on. We just focus on keeping everything running smoothly without too much fuss. It is a solid job with real people doing hard work every single day.
