If you know Jayanagar 1st Block, you’ve probably walked past Ankitha Towers a hundred times. We are right there, really close to Madhavan Park. It’s a nice area, especially in the mornings when the park is full of people walking. Our place is basically filled with bags and jars of different food items. We spend a lot of time checking labels and making sure everything is where it belongs. It’s a bit cramped inside sometimes because we try to stock a lot of variety. Sometimes we run out of space on the shelves and have to stack things on the floor near the back. It isn't a supermarket with wide aisles, but we know where everything is. My brother and I usually handle the stocking. It’s a lot of lifting and moving heavy sacks around. We’ve been here for a few years now and have gotten to know the regular customers who stop by after their park walks. They usually want something specific and we try to keep it in stock for them. The traffic near Madhavan Park can be a mess in the evenings, so we usually try to get our big deliveries done early. It’s a simple business, really. We just sell food that’s as close to natural as we can find. It keeps us busy from open to close. We don't have many employees, just us and a helper, so it feels like a family shop. It’s a good way to spend the day.
