Jai City Taxi

We run Jai City Taxi out of a spot at 15/26 Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar on Akkipet Main Road. We are very close to the Rk Palace Marriage Hall, which is a busy place during the wedding season. When there is a big function there, our phones do not stop ringing because everyone needs a ride home. The office is pretty basic, just a place to hang the keys and for the drivers to sit between trips. Akkipet is an old part of the city, so the roads are narrow and always full of carts and people. Our drivers have to be really patient to get through that mess every day. We have a small fleet of cars that have seen a lot of miles. They aren't perfect, but they get the job done and we try to keep them running well enough. We write down all the bookings in a big book on the desk. Sometimes it gets confusing when two people call at once, but we manage. It is a local business and most of our customers are people who live or work right here in the neighborhood. We don't do much advertising; people just know we are here by the marriage hall. It is a lot of long hours and waiting around for the next fare, but it is how we make our living. We just focus on getting people where they need to go.
