J Mart

If you know Jayanagar well, you probably know where Waroda Road is, just off Hill Road. That’s where you’ll find J Mart. We’ve been here for a while, tucked away in this corner of the neighborhood. It’s a busy area, lots of people walking by and cars honking at the junction. Our shop isn't the biggest, but we try to keep everything organized on the shelves so people can find what they need without having to ask too many questions. Some mornings are quiet, just the sound of the shutters going up and the smell of the street getting started. Other times, especially on weekends, it gets quite packed in here. We have a small staff, just a few of us who know the regulars by name. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and making sure the floors are swept. It’s hard work, standing on your feet all day, but we like being part of the community here. The building itself is older, with some character that you don't see in the newer malls. Sometimes the light in the back flickers, but we just ignore it. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just us here on Waroda Road, trying to keep things running smoothly and making sure we have the essentials for anyone who stops in. It’s a simple life, but it keeps us busy and connected to the people around us.
