J. K. Papers

We’ve set up shop at 109 on the 9th Main in Gokula Extension. It’s a busy little area, and we fit right in with the other small businesses on the street. J. K. Papers is basically just a big room filled with paper of all types and sizes. We have tall stacks that reach almost to the ceiling in some places, which makes the whole place smell like old library books and fresh ink. It’s a scent we’ve grown to love over the years we have been here. Our desks are tucked away in the corners, surrounded by reams of stock. The 9th Main road has a lot of foot traffic, so there’s always something to look at out the front window when we take a breather. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years or just happen to walk by and see the sign. The floor is concrete and a bit uneven, and the fan on the ceiling makes a clicking noise that we’ve stopped noticing long ago. We spend a lot of time on our feet, moving bundles around and checking lists. It’s hard work, especially when it’s hot outside, but it’s what we do. We usually close up when the streetlights come on and the traffic starts to thin out in the evening. It’s a plain, honest business in a good neighborhood that treats us well.
