Iris Cabs

Our cab office is located on the Railway Station Road in Vijaya Nagar, at number 1252/31. It’s a very busy street because of all the people coming and going from the station. We’ve been running this for a few years now. It isn't a high-tech company with millions of dollars. We just have a few cars and a small room where we answer the phones. Most of our work is taking people to the airport or doing outstation trips for families. The traffic in Bangalore makes this a tough business sometimes. Drivers get stuck in jams, and customers get worried about catching their trains. I spend most of my time on the mobile, coordinating where each driver is and trying to find the quickest routes for them. The office is pretty basic, just some chairs and a desk covered in logbooks. We don't have any flashy apps or big marketing budgets. We rely on the fact that we’ve been in Vijaya Nagar for a long time and people know our faces. Sometimes a car breaks down and we have to scramble to find a replacement at the last minute. It’s a lot of pressure, but we just keep at it. We try to be fair with the rates and honest about the pickup times, even when the traffic is bad. People just call us directly when they need a reliable ride.
