Ice Berg

We have been here at 27 Vijaya Nagar for quite some time now. Most people find us by looking for the Sterling Apartments first because the street signs around here aren't always clear or easy to read from a moving car. I’ve lived in this area for about twenty years now, and when I opened Ice Berg, I just wanted something close to home so I wouldn't have to commute far. It’s not a huge place, just enough room for the essentials and a few chairs for people to sit. Every morning I come in, unlock the heavy front door, and check if the fridge is making that weird humming noise again. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t. The neighbors are nice, mostly families and some students who walk by on their way to the bus stop. We get a lot of sun in the afternoon which makes it a bit warm inside, so I usually keep the fan running at full speed. It isn't anything fancy, just a plain shop where we get the work done. I don't really use a computer much for the books, I prefer writing things down in my paper ledger. It keeps things simple for me. Some days are busier than others, especially when there's a local festival or something happening down the road. You can usually see me sitting near the counter if you drop by. I’ve known the guys at the tea stall across the street for ages.
