You can find us at 37/12 Vijaya Nagar, which is right near the BDA Complex. Being close to the complex means there’s always something happening nearby, and it makes it easy for people to explain where we are. Our office is more like a dispatch hub. There are phones ringing constantly and drivers coming in to drop off keys or grab a quick glass of water. It’s not the cleanest place in the world because people are always walking in from the street with dust on their shoes. We have a few benches for drivers to rest on between trips. The walls are mostly bare, except for a calendar that’s a few months out of date. We don’t really care about the decor much. It’s all about the cars and making sure everyone gets where they need to go. The boss sits at a desk in the corner with a big ledger. Sometimes the neighbors complain about the cars taking up space, so we spend a lot of time shuffling vehicles around. It’s a lot of coordination and shouting across the room to see who’s available. We drink a lot of tea to stay awake during the late shifts. It’s a basic business, nothing more, nothing less. We just keep the wheels turning and try to make sure the phones are always answered, even when it’s late at night.
