Honest Engg. Works

We’ve been at Arvind Estate for a while now. It’s right opposite Ambica Hotel, so if you’re near Ctm Cross Road, you probably know where we are. Honest Engg. Works is just a regular shop where we handle various metal jobs and mechanical parts. Most days are spent around the lathes and drill presses. It gets a bit noisy in here, but that’s just how it goes in Amraiwadi. The guys here have been working together for years. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. Just a desk with some old papers and the smell of grease. People stop by to get things fixed or to ask about specific parts they need. Sometimes the traffic outside near the cross road is a mess, but we stay busy inside. We try to keep things moving so customers don't have to wait too long. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't do much advertising. Most people find us because they’re in the neighborhood or someone told them we could help with a weld or a turning job. Working in this part of town means you see a lot of regular faces. We just focus on the drawings or the broken pieces that come through the door. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by noon. We clean up at the end of the day and start again the next morning. It isn't a complex operation, just us doing our daily work in the estate.
