Heights Cafe

If you are looking for us, we are situated at 2A/2B in the Bangalore GPO area. Our spot is right across from the Gold Finch Hotel, which usually helps people find us since that’s a pretty well-known building in this part of town. The cafe is a modest place where we spend most of our day brewing coffee and getting things ready for the morning rush. Being in the 560001 district means there is always something going on outside our windows. You can hear the city buses and the constant hum of the traffic all day long. We have a few tables set up where people sit to grab a quick bite or just to wait out the Bangalore rain. It isn’t some high-end lounge with leather seats. It is more of a local corner where you can just be yourself. The floor has a few scuffs from all the feet moving through, and the counter is usually cluttered with napkins and sugar packets. We do our own washing up and keep the kitchen running as best as we can. Sometimes the milk delivery is late or the coffee grinder acts up, but we just deal with it and keep going. It’s a busy life here near the Bangalore International, and we are just happy to have a steady stream of regulars who know us by name. It is a lot of work but we like it.
