Hattilakkamma Engineering Works

Our workshop is located in Bhuvaneshwari Nagar, over at 41275. It’s an engineering shed where we do a lot of welding and metal cutting. Most days the sound of the grinder is going from morning until late afternoon. We take on small jobs like fixing iron gates or making window grills for the houses being built nearby. It’s dirty, greasy work, but we like working with metal. The floor is usually covered in scrap pieces and iron filings. We have a few machines for bending pipes and drilling holes. It isn't a fancy factory, just a place where things get made. Sometimes people bring us a drawing on a piece of paper and we try to build what they need. We’ve done some work for the local builders and also for individual homeowners who just need a repair. It gets pretty hot inside during the summer months with the welding torches going. We don't have a sales team or a fancy office. If you want something done, you just come to the gate and talk to one of us. We try to get the work finished by the date we promised, though sometimes materials take a while to arrive. It’s just a group of us who know our way around steel and iron. We’ve been here in Bhelke Nagar for quite a while now and we keep things simple.
