Hardware Staff Engineer

I work out of 1179 on the 4th Main in MC Layout, right in the heart of Vijayanagar. Being a hardware staff engineer in this part of Bangalore means there is never a dull moment. The neighborhood is full of activity, and the 4th Main is a pretty busy stretch. My work mostly involves the internal side of things—getting into the guts of a system and making sure the hardware is actually doing what it is supposed to. I’ve got a small space where I keep all my testers, spare boards, and a soldering iron that has seen quite a bit of use over the years. I don’t really do the flashy software stuff; I’m the person you call when something physically breaks or needs a real upgrade. Vijayanagar has changed a lot since I started, with more people and more gadgets everywhere, but the problems are usually the same. A fan stops spinning, or a board gets a short circuit, and I have to find where it happened. It takes a lot of patience, and sometimes I’m just sitting there staring at a circuit for way too long. It is honest work, and I like the technical challenge of it. People in MC Layout know where to find me if their equipment starts acting up. I just take things as they come, one fix at a time, and try to keep my workspace from getting too cluttered with old parts.
