Happy Valley Silks

Happy Valley Silks is tucked away on the ground floor at 16 Avenue Road. Being in the 3rd Block on 56th Cross means there is always a lot of foot traffic. Avenue Road is a busy place, as anyone who lives around here knows. We have been at this spot for a good while, surrounded by the fabric trade. The shop isn't massive, but it holds a lot of stock. We spend our mornings setting things out and our evenings folding fabrics back up. It is a bit of a repetitive life, but we like the rhythm of it. The ground floor location helps because people can just wander in from the street without climbing stairs. Sometimes the light inside isn't the best, but you can see the colors of the silks well enough. We aren't trying to be some high-end boutique with fancy lights. Happy Valley Silks is just a local shop where we sell what we have. People know us by the address on 56th Cross. It gets loud outside with the street vendors and the cars, but inside it is mostly just the sound of fabric moving. We don't do much advertising; people just find us. It is a simple business. We open the doors, wait for neighbors or visitors to come by, and show them the silks we have on the shelves. There is no corporate polish here, just a lot of cloth and the usual daily chores.
