Hangyo

We are located over in Benniganahalli at units 1 & 2. Hangyo is what we do here, mostly dealing with cold storage and making sure things get out to the various shops that need them. It’s a bit of a cold job because of all the large freezers we have to maintain all day long. We spend most of our time checking temperatures and moving boxes from the cold rooms to the delivery vans parked outside. The area in Benniganahalli is quite industrial and always busy with heavy traffic, so we have to plan our timings very carefully. It’s not a very pretty place, just a lot of machinery and white walls that we try to keep clean. We wear thick sweaters even when it’s boiling hot outside because of the work environment we are in. Sometimes the machines break down and we have a bit of a panic trying to get them fixed before anything starts to melt. It’s a lot of responsibility keeping food at the right temperature through the night. We don't see many customers directly here since we are more of a distribution point than a store. The staff here is small and we’ve all worked together for a long time, so we know how to help each other out. We just get on with the daily work and make sure the orders are correct before they leave the gate. It’s a practical business and we try to do our part every single day.
