Hampi Organic

Hampi Organic is situated right near the More Super Store on the Outer Ring Road in Mahadevapura. If you live around here, you know how the traffic can get, especially during peak hours. Our shop is a bit tucked away, but it’s easy enough to find if you’re looking for the supermarket. We keep a variety of stuff on the shelves, mostly things we get from farmers we know. The smell inside is a mix of dried herbs and grains. It’s a small space, so we have to stack things pretty high. We use a lot of brown paper bags instead of plastic because it just feels better. The floor is a bit uneven in the back, so you have to watch your step. We don't have a lot of staff, usually just one or two of us behind the counter. We spend a lot of time checking the labels and making sure everything is where it should be. The sun hits the front window in the morning, making it quite bright inside until noon. We don't do a lot of advertising. Most people hear about us from their neighbors or see us while they are out doing their grocery shopping at the bigger store nearby. It’s a plain, honest shop. We like the quiet moments between the morning and evening rush. It’s just us and the bags of rice and pulses.
