Graphite India Ltd

You can find us in the Vishueswaraya Industrial Area on White Field Road. We are near the Mahadevpura Post. This part of the city has grown so much since we first started here. It used to be much quieter and had more open space. Now there are IT buildings everywhere, but we are still here doing industrial work at Graphite India Ltd. We work with graphite. It’s a very messy material to handle. Everything in the facility eventually turns a bit grey or black because of the fine dust. We have big machines and furnaces for processing the graphite into different forms. It’s a large site and there is always something going on. It’s not a place for guests to wander around because it’s a heavy industrial environment. We have a lot of workers who have been here for decades. They know the smell and the feel of the place. It’s a lot of shift work, day and night. We don't have fancy decorations in the office. It’s all very functional. We make things like electrodes and carbon products that other big factories need to run. We just focus on meeting our production numbers every day. The traffic on White Field Road is a bit of a struggle for the delivery trucks, but we manage. It’s a tough, gritty job, but it’s important for the industry. We just get on with it and do the work.
