Gracious Silks & Gti

Our place, Gracious Silks & Gti, is on the 3rd floor of the A/8 building in Koramangala VI Block. We’re right on Science City Road, and the Airtel Building is the main landmark folks use to find us. Being on the third floor means we get a bit of a breeze, which is nice in the afternoons. The office is a mix of textile samples and computer desks. We spend a lot of time looking at patterns and checking the weave of the silks we handle. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but we’re used to it. The room is usually filled with the sound of fabric being unrolled or the hum of the fans overhead. We have rows of shelves stacked high with different varieties of cloth, and sometimes it feels like the walls are made of silk. It’s a small team here, and we’ve been working together for a long time. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with long meetings and fancy titles. We just get the orders ready and make sure the colors match what the customers asked for. Koramangala is a busy neighborhood with plenty of places to eat, so we usually head out for a bite around one o'clock. The traffic on Science City Road can be pretty bad in the evenings, so we try to wrap things up before the rush starts. It’s a simple, steady routine for us here in the VI Block.
