Gopal Engineering

We have been operating Gopal Engineering at Nagashettyhalli 9 for quite a while now. Most mornings start with the sound of the shutters going up and the smell of machine oil. It is not a huge place, just a regular engineering shop where we handle whatever comes through the door. Some days we are busy with small parts and other days we have larger pieces that take up all the floor space. We have a few old lathes and drills that have been with us for years. They still work fine if you know how to handle them. The street outside can get pretty noisy with all the traffic in Nagashettyhalli, but we just keep our heads down and focus on the metal in front of us. Our hands are almost always dirty by ten in the morning and they stay that way until we close up. We do not have a fancy reception area or a person to answer the phones; if the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands and picks it up. It is honest work and we have gotten used to the rhythm of it. We know the other shop owners nearby and we sometimes borrow tools or help each other out. There is always a lot of scrap metal piled up in the corner that we need to clear out, but somehow we never get around to it until the pile is too big. We just do the jobs as they come.
