Golden Jaggery Pvt. Ltd. is tucked away at A-102, Arvind Orchards, on the Kogehalli Main Road in Sahakar Nagar. It’s a bit of an interesting spot because it’s not exactly in the middle of a field like some other units, but we still do the same basic work. We deal with jaggery every single day, and that means our routine is pretty much set. We wake up, check on the stock, and see what needs to be moved out to the retailers. Since we are in Sahakar Nagar, we have a lot of local traffic to deal with, which can make deliveries a bit of a headache sometimes. We aren't a huge operation with a lot of corporate levels; it’s just a small team of us trying to keep things organized. The jaggery comes in and we have to make sure it’s stored properly so it doesn't get ruined by the humidity or the heat. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or talking to the guys who bring the supplies in. It gets a bit hectic when we have several orders going out at once, and the space gets crowded with boxes and bags. We don't try to make it look like something it’s not. It’s just a workspace where we get things done. We focus on the daily tasks, making sure the jaggery is clean and ready for people to use in their kitchens.
