Gemini Distilleries Pvt Ltd

We’ve been here at Indira Nagar 10th Cross for quite a while now. Number 124 is just where we end up every morning. Gemini Distilleries isn’t some fancy glass building you see on the main roads. It’s mostly just us dealing with the stuff that goes into making spirits. The smell of the fermenting tanks is something you get used to after a week. Sometimes the trucks block the 10th cross gate and we have to go out and yell a bit to get them moving. It’s a job. We spend most of the day checking the temperatures and making sure the bottles are getting filled right. There’s a lot of steam and noise. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. People come and go. Most of the guys here have been working these machines for years. We eat lunch together in the small back room. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially near the stills. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The address is easy to find if you know the landmark, but the traffic around here is usually a mess by four o’clock. It’s just how things are at the distillery. We don’t do much fancy talking, we just handle the production. If the machinery breaks, we fix it ourselves mostly. It's a steady rhythm that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. The cat that hangs around the yard seems to like the heat.
