Geeta Paintings

Geeta Paintings is tucked away in Yassen Chawl, which is in Hariyali Village near Electronic City. We are at number 6. Living and working in a chawl means you are always close to your neighbors, and that is exactly how we like it. The space is small, but it's where we keep all our supplies for the painting work we do. It’s a very local operation. We don't have a big corporate office in the fancy part of Electronic City; we are right here on the ground with the people. You can usually find us sitting outside the chawl or working on a canvas or a piece of wood when we aren't out at a customer’s place. There is always noise from children playing or people cooking nearby. It’s a vibrant place to be. We handle simple painting jobs for homes and small shops in the village. We don't use any complicated equipment, just the standard brushes and paints that we have used for years. Our business has grown mostly through word of mouth among the people living in the chawl and the surrounding areas. We don't put on any acts or try to seem bigger than we are. We are just a small part of this community, doing our work day by day and making sure we earn enough to keep going. It’s a humble life, but it’s ours.
