Geeta Ice Plant

Geeta Ice Plant sits at No- 25 on Infantry Road, right in the Camponment area. If you’ve ever walked down Infantry Road, you know it has that specific feel of a military zone mixed with old-town bustle. Our building is at number 25, and it’s a place where we’ve been making ice for a long time. The machines are old and loud, creating a constant vibration that you can feel through the soles of your shoes. We don't have a polished showroom because we don't need one. This is a working plant. The floor is constantly wet from the melting runoff and the washing of the cans. We spend our days hauling ice blocks out to the loading area where the trucks wait. The Camponment area is generally well-kept, but inside our gates, it’s all business and hard labor. It’s cold inside the freezing rooms, which is a nice break from the heat outside, but it’s tough on the joints. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to Infantry Road for years. We just keep our heads down, watch the pressure gauges, and make sure the blocks are solid. There is a lot of heavy lifting involved, and by the end of the day, everyone is pretty worn out. It’s just a basic ice plant doing its job in an old part of the city for the locals.
