Gangothri Minerals

Gangothri Minerals is situated at 32/2 Krishnarajpuram, right near Garden City College. You can’t miss us because there is usually a lot of dust around from the minerals we handle. It’s a bit of a contrast having the college students walking by in their clean clothes while we are covered in grit from the day’s work. The yard is filled with piles of different materials, and we have a small scale for weighing the loads. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear your nice shoes. We have a tiny cabin that serves as our office, but most of the time we are outside checking the trucks or talking to the drivers. The sun gets really hot out here in Krishnarajpuram, and there isn't much shade in the yard. We have an old water cooler that we keep filled up for everyone. It’s a simple business. We get the minerals in, we move them around, and we send them out. There are no fancy meetings or presentations here. We just look at what’s in the piles and figure out the logistics. Sometimes the college traffic makes it hard for the big lorries to turn into our gate, so there is a bit of shouting and gesturing to get things lined up. It’s a long day from sunrise to sunset, but we are used to the rhythm of it. It’s just honest, dusty work for our small crew.
