Frost Bites

Frost Bites is located at 141/40 on M K Street in the Jayangar III Block area. It’s a pretty small shop that focuses on cold things. We have several big chest freezers that hum all day and night. The floor is white tile, which shows every single footprint, so I’m constantly mopping it. In the summer, the place is full of kids from the nearby school who come in for a treat. They can be pretty loud and they always leave sticky fingerprints on the glass lids of the freezers. I don’t mind too much, it’s just part of the job. M K Street is usually quite peaceful, but it can get busy during the weekends when people are out shopping. We have some small tables but most people just take their stuff and walk around. The lighting inside is a bit bright, maybe too bright, but it makes everything look clean. I work here with my sister, and we take turns doing the late shifts. Sometimes we run out of the popular flavors and then customers get disappointed, but we can only fit so much in the freezers. It’s a straightforward little shop without any fancy bells or whistles. We just sell what we have and try to keep the machines running properly so nothing melts. When the compressor makes that clunking sound, I always get a bit nervous that it might stop working, but it hasn't failed us yet.
