Friction Engineers

Our shop, Friction Engineers, is located at 30/1 Magadi Main Road, which is right near the S.B.I. in Vijay Nagar. It’s a very easy landmark to give people when they are trying to find us for the first time. The road outside is almost always packed with buses and scooters, so it stays pretty noisy throughout the day. We have a small storefront that opens right onto the sidewalk. Inside, it’s mostly shelves filled with various mechanical components and a small counter where we handle the customers. We don't have a lot of space, so things are stacked pretty high, and you have to be careful not to knock anything over. The ceiling fan is old and makes a clicking sound on every rotation, but it helps a little with the heat. We don’t spend money on marketing or fancy logos. Our name is just painted on a board outside the shop at 30/1. Most of the people who come in are regulars from the Vijay Nagar area or mechanics who need a specific part for a job they are doing. We spend a lot of time looking through old catalogs or checking our stock to see if we have what someone needs. It’s a straightforward business. We open up in the morning, do our work, and close the shutters when the sun goes down. It’s been our routine for years and it works for us.
