Family Juice & Chats

We are over at 56/7, Mahadeshwara Nagar, in the second stage of BTM 2nd Stage. Family Juice & Chats is exactly what the name says. We serve juices and some snacks to the folks around here. It’s a small place and it can get a bit loud when the kids come by after school. We don’t have a lot of seating, so people often just stand around or take their food to go. My brother and I run the place mostly. We start early to get the fruit cut and the chutneys made for the chats. It’s a lot of prep work before we even open the doors. The neighborhood has a lot of families, so we get to know the regulars pretty well. We aren't trying to be a fancy cafe or anything. It’s just a simple shop with a counter and some blenders. Sometimes we forget to change the sign or the floor needs a quick sweep during the rush, but we do our best. We’ve been at this BTM location for a couple of years now and it feels like home. We don’t spend money on ads. Usually, someone just smells the food or sees their neighbor eating here and they decide to stop in. It’s a humble way to work, but we like the freedom of running our own little spot. We just focus on keeping the fruit fresh and the spices just right for the evening crowd.
