Eshcol Precision Engineering

Our workshop sits on the ground floor near the U C O Bank in the Silk City Market. That is part of the Peenya Industrial Area. It is a very loud place to spend the day. Machines are running constantly and the oil smell is quite strong. We spend our time at the benches working on small metal parts. Precision is what we do at Eshcol Precision Engineering but we do not go around bragging about it. It is just the job. My hands are usually stained with grease and that blue cooling fluid. We have been at 39/1/3 for many years now. The market area is always packed with people and delivery trucks. You have to watch where you are walking. We usually eat our lunch fast because there is always another task to finish up. The concrete floor is hard on your feet after a few hours. We have some old fans that try to keep us cool but they struggle in the heat. Most of the guys have worked together for a long time. We do not have to talk much to know what needs to be done. We just show up and get the machines started. When the power goes out, it gets quiet and we just sit outside the bank and wait for it. It is a long day but we are used to the routine. Silk City Market is a good home for a shop like ours.
