Our office is tucked away on the ground floor of number 381 in BTM Layout 2nd Stage. If you know where the K C Das sweets shop is, then finding us is easy because we are right opposite it. BTM is a crazy place for housing these days with so many young people moving in for work. We spend most of our time walking around the lanes here, looking at different flats and talking to owners. It’s a lot of legwork, really. People come to us because they’re tired of looking online and finding things that don't exist. We just show them what’s actually available in the MIDC area and around. Sometimes the houses are great, sometimes they need work, and we tell people that straight. We don't like wasting time. The office is usually a bit messy with maps and keys lying around everywhere. It’s just a few of us working here, trying to keep track of who is moving out and who is looking to move in. It’s funny how much the rent has gone up since we first started, but that’s just Bangalore for you. We’ve lived in this area ourselves for years, so we know which streets are quiet and which ones get flooded when it rains. We just try to give people a decent place to stay without all the usual headaches that come with brokers. It’s a busy life, but it keeps us on our feet and we like meeting new people every day.
