Dushyanth Real Estate is based out of a small office at 55 JP Nagar. We spend most of our time out on the streets rather than sitting behind a desk. JP Nagar is a big area and there is always someone looking for a house to rent or a bit of land to buy. My phone rings constantly with people asking about prices and locations. I usually meet people near the property they want to see, and then we walk through the rooms together. I have a lot of keys on a big ring that I carry around in my pocket. The office at number 55 is where I go to do the paperwork and sign the agreements. It’s a basic room with a couple of chairs and a table that is usually covered in site maps and dusty files. I don't have any assistants or a marketing team. It’s just me doing the legwork and talking to the owners. Sometimes a deal doesn't work out and we have to start all over again, but that’s just the way it goes. I know most of the lanes in JP Nagar by heart now. I try to be straightforward with people about what a place is like before they bother to visit it. It’s a lot of walking and talking, but it keeps the business going and I like being out in the neighborhood.
