About Dessert Chef – Food & Beverages in Bengaluru
We’re at 366 Sarjapur Road, right near the Carmelram Belandoor Gate. Dessert Chef is where we spend most of our time baking and preparing sweets. It’s not a massive factory or a polished cafe, just a kitchen where we make things we like. The smell of sugar and flour is pretty much constant here. We started this because we liked making desserts for people, and it just grew from there. The shop can be a bit chaotic when we have a lot of orders to finish, especially on weekends. We don’t have a lot of fancy decorations; the focus is more on the ovens and the prep tables. People stop by to pick up treats or just to see what’s fresh for the day. Sometimes the cakes don’t look perfect, but they always taste like they should. We use simple ingredients and don’t try to overcomplicate our recipes. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and dealing with the heat from the kitchen, but it’s rewarding when someone enjoys what you’ve made. Sarjapur Road is always busy, so there’s a lot of noise from the street, but inside it’s just us doing our thing. We’re just local people making desserts for the neighborhood. It’s a simple life and we like it that way. We usually close up once the last batch of items is sold for the day.
