We are over here at Nandi Durga Road in Bangalore. It is a pretty busy spot and we have been at this address for a long while now. Most days start really early for us because the ovens need to get going before the sun is even fully up. You can usually smell the sugar and the flour from down the street if the wind is blowing the right way. We are just a group of people working together to make sweets and snacks that people actually like to eat. Sometimes the packaging machines act up and we have to spend an hour fixing them instead of actually making anything, but that is just how it goes in a place like this. The kitchen is always a bit warm, even when the fans are on full blast. We do not really have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just a few desks pushed into the corner where we handle the orders and talk to the delivery guys who come by. It gets a bit chaotic in the afternoons when everyone is trying to get things loaded into the vans. Karnataka can get quite hot, so we try to get most of the heavy work done before noon if we can. Our team mostly just keeps their heads down and gets the job done. We have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years but we are still right here on the same road doing the same thing every day. It is a lot of work, I guess.
