De Beers India Exploration

Our office is located at 17/6 on Ali Asker Road Cross, which is a relatively decent spot compared to the noisier parts of the city. De Beers India Exploration has been set up here for a while, and the space is mostly filled with maps, geological reports, and various bits of data we’ve collected over time. It’s not a very large office, and things can get a bit cramped when everyone is back from the field at the same time. The desks are usually covered in rocks or printouts, and there is always a bit of a scramble to find a clean spot to sit and have a coffee. We don’t really go in for a lot of decorations or anything that looks too polished. The walls are mostly bare except for a few calendars and some old charts that have been there since we moved in. It is a quiet street for the most part, though you do get the occasional traffic jam at the cross when things get busy in the afternoons. We spend our days going over figures and planning out where we need to be next. Most of us have been doing this for a long time, so we have a routine that doesn't need much explaining. It’s a practical environment where the main goal is just to stay organized and keep the project moving forward. We aren't big on formalities here; we just show up and do what needs to be done.
