Darshan Farm

If you head down to 35/411 in the K H B Colony area of Basaveshwar Nagar, that’s where you’ll find Darshan Farm. It isn’t a massive operation, just a steady one that we’ve been running out of this spot for a while. Dealing with farm products means our schedule follows the seasons more than the clock. Some mornings we are up and moving while the rest of Basaveshwar Nagar is still quiet. We handle a lot of the heavy lifting ourselves, so there’s usually a bit of dirt on our clothes and boots. The colony is mostly residential, but our corner stays active with deliveries and people coming by to see what’s fresh. We have a small storage area that stays cool, which is important for the stuff we keep. It’s not a polished environment by any means. There are tools leaning against the walls and empty sacks piled up in the back. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the supplies are handled right. Some days are slower than others, which gives us time to fix the fences or tidy up the yard. We don't put much stock in fancy titles or uniforms. We just work the land and sell what we produce or trade. It’s a quiet life mostly, apart from the occasional noisy tractor or the sound of the rain on the tin roof. We usually stop for a break when the mid-day sun gets too intense to work outside.
