Corner Stone Cafe

You can find Corner Stone Cafe over in Jai Bharath Nagar. It’s just a regular place where we make coffee and some snacks. I usually start the day by wiping down the tables and checking the milk delivery. The cafe is not very large, but we have enough chairs for the locals who come in. Jai Bharath Nagar has a lot of people moving around, so we see different faces every day. I spend a lot of time behind the counter. Sometimes the machine acts up, but I know how to fix it now. We don't have a big menu with complicated names. It is mostly just coffee, tea, and some things to eat that we can prepare quickly. The smell of ground beans is always in the air. I try to keep the place tidy, but when it gets busy, there are crumbs and empty cups everywhere for a while. It is just me and one other person most of the time. We talk to the customers about the weather or the traffic while we work. It’s a plain setup without any flashy lights or loud music. People come here when they want a seat for a few minutes. We just keep the door open and stay ready for whoever walks in from the street. It’s a steady way to spend the day in this part of town. We are usually here from early morning until the sun goes down.
