Coffee World

We’ve been here at 5 Magdi Road for a while now. Most mornings start pretty early, getting the machines warmed up before the first group of people head off to work in the city. It’s not a huge place, just a simple coffee shop where you can sit down for a bit and take a break. The street outside gets pretty busy with traffic and honking, so it is nice to have a spot where things are a little bit quieter. We spend a lot of time just making sure the milk is right and the wooden tables are wiped down after people leave. A lot of the same faces come in every single day, and after a few weeks, you just get to know what they like without them even having to ask. Sometimes the grinder makes a lot of noise and we have to shout a bit to be heard, but that’s just how it is here. We don't have any fancy decorations or soft lighting. Just some basic chairs, a long counter, and the smell of coffee that stays in your clothes all day. Bangalore can be a lot to take in sometimes, so we just keep things very basic. My cousin helps out behind the counter most afternoons when things get a bit more crowded with students. We keep the beans in the back and try to keep the place cool when the hot sun is hitting the front windows.
