You can find us right at 1, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Veedhi. Being part of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry means there’s a lot of structure here. The Coffee Board has been around for a very long time, and the building itself has that old government feel to it. Large hallways, high ceilings, and plenty of wooden desks. We spend our days looking at data from coffee growers and dealing with the different rules for the industry. It’s not just about drinking coffee, though we do a fair bit of that in the breakroom. There are a lot of meetings. We talk about export figures, pests affecting crops, and how the rainfall is looking in the hills. Sometimes the elevators are slow, so we take the stairs. It’s a busy place with people coming in from all over the country for permits or to ask for advice on their plantations. The files are stacked high in some rooms. It’s a lot of responsibility because coffee matters to so many families. We aren't a private company, so things move at a certain pace. There is a lot of history in these walls. We just try to keep the industry steady. It’s a mix of policy work and actually talking to the people on the ground. Every day is different, but the goal is always just supporting the growers. Sometimes the printer jams when we are trying to get the reports out, but that’s just life in an office. We make sure the coffee world keeps moving.
