About Chandika Ayurvedic Soap – Industrial Plant & Machines in Bengaluru
We are over at number 332 in Kacharakanahalli. This isn't a big glass building in a tech park. It's a more traditional setup where we make our soaps. The smell of herbs and oils is always there as soon as you get near the gate. We use old methods for the Ayurvedic stuff, so it takes time. It’s not a fast process where machines do everything. There’s a lot of stirring and waiting for things to set. We have racks of soap bars drying out in the back. Sometimes the weather affects how long it takes to dry, which can be a bit of a headache. The workspace is simple. We have some heavy pots and wooden molds. We don't really do big advertising campaigns. Word of mouth is how most people find out about us. We aren't trying to change the world; we are just making soap like it’s been done for a long time. Our hands are usually oily or covered in herb dust by the end of the shift. It’s quiet work for the most part. The neighbors know us and sometimes stop by to chat. We keep things pretty low-key. If you come by, you’ll probably see us unloading boxes of oils or wrapping the finished bars in paper. It’s just a small local operation. We like the pace here. It feels right to do things by hand and see the final bars stacked up on the table.
