You’ll find us on the ground floor of No. 166 in Chamarajpet. We are right on the 2nd Main, directly opposite the Canara Bank. It’s an old part of town with a lot of character. We’ve been running Gold Field Bio-Genetics, or Gofiseeds as most people call us, from this spot for quite some time. The office is always full of seed packets and sample bags. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the shelves we’ve added over the years. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a sleek look. The paint is peeling a bit in the corners, and the furniture is old but sturdy. We spend our time talking to farmers and dealers who come by to see what’s new for the planting season. There’s a lot of talk about soil quality and rain patterns. We have a small lab area, but it’s mostly used for basic checks. We aren't scientists in white coats all the time; most of us have dirt under our fingernails from being out in the trial plots. The neighborhood is busy, so there’s always the sound of traffic and people outside. We like being in Chamarajpet because everything we need is close by. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall. We just want to make sure the seeds we sell actually grow into something useful. It’s a small, family-like atmosphere here. We know our customers and they know us.
