Chaitra Engineers

Chaitra Engineers is tucked away in the Nandini Building on Basavanagudi Mudaliar Street. If you’re familiar with the area near Netkalappa Circle, you probably know it’s a lively part of town. Our workspace is usually filled with the sound of machines and the smell of metal. It’s a bit cramped in here with all the equipment and parts lying around, but we know exactly where every tool is. We do a lot of technical work, mostly involving engineering parts and repairs. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean; there’s always grease or dust on our hands by lunchtime. We’ve been at this for a while now, and the routine is pretty much the same every day. We start early, check the machines, and get through the list of tasks. Basavanagudi has a specific feel to it, very traditional and busy, and being right here near the circle means there’s always something happening outside. Sometimes customers stop by just to ask a quick question or check on a part they left with us. We don’t have a fancy front office or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door stops what they’re doing to help out. It’s practical work for people who need things built or fixed properly. We just keep our heads down and focus on the job until it’s time to lock up and head home. We enjoy being part of the local community here in Bangalore.
