Chaipatty Teafe

This place is located at 772 on the 100 Feet Road in Indira Nagar. It’s a bit of a climb because we are on one of the upper floors, but the view of the road is okay from here. We have a lot of different teas on the shelf, and the kitchen is usually busy making snacks like pakoras or maggi. The seating is a mix of low chairs and some benches. We just put those in so people can sit how they want and not feel like they are in a stiff office. There’s often some art or doodles on the walls that people have added over time. The 100 Feet Road is always noisy, but inside it’s a bit more relaxed, though the music is usually playing. We use a lot of ceramic cups and kettles, so there’s always washing up to do in the back. In the evenings, it gets quite crowded and we sometimes run out of space for everyone to sit comfortably. The staff is mostly just a few of us who handle everything from taking orders to cleaning the tables. We don’t have a fancy menu, just things written out on a board. It’s a spot where people come to hang out for a long time without anyone bothering them to leave. Sometimes the air conditioning struggles when it’s really hot outside, but we have fans to help out. It’s just a basic tea spot for the local crowd.
