Cel Cabs

Cel Cabs is located in Vyalikaval Phase 2, which is in the Urban East part of the city. We’ve been operating from this same neighborhood for quite a long time. It is not a big fancy headquarters with a lot of signage. It’s mostly just a small, simple room with a couple of desks, some phones, and a big printed map pinned to the wall. We spend our days coordinating with our drivers and taking bookings from local people who need to get to the airport or the main railway station. The area around Phase 2 is mostly residential houses, so it’s a bit quieter than the main city center, which we actually quite like. Sometimes the drivers come into the office for a quick break between trips and we sit around talking about the traffic conditions or the weather. It is a very local, hands-on operation. We don’t have a fancy website with lots of bells and whistles. Usually, people around here just have our phone number saved in their mobiles or they know exactly where the office is and they just drop by. It gets a bit hectic during the monsoon season when everyone seems to want a cab at the exact same time. We try to stay organized with a simple paper ledger and some yellow sticky notes. It’s just a basic business about getting people from one place to another without any fuss or drama.
