Cafe Noir

We are located in Whitefield at Simla Estate, specifically at 24/206. It’s a busy part of the city and we are right in the middle of it. The cafe is where we spend most of our waking hours. We start by setting up the tables and making sure the coffee machine is ready to go. There is a lot of glass around so we spend a fair bit of time cleaning fingerprints off the doors. Whitefield can be a bit overwhelming with all the traffic and the big buildings, but inside here it feels a bit more grounded. We serve a lot of coffee and pastries throughout the day. Some people stay for a long time with their laptops and others just grab something and head out. We don't have a big philosophy about what we do. We just make the food and serve the drinks. If the oven acts up, we fix it. If we are short-staffed, we just work a bit faster. It's a real job with real headaches sometimes, but we like the people we work with. The estate area has its own rhythm and we’ve become part of that over time. We aren't trying to be the most famous place in town, just a reliable one where you know what you're getting. Our staff stays busy, the coffee stays hot, and we just keep the doors open for anyone who needs a break.
