Cafe Coffee Day

Down in Ganganagar at the Hiren Cloth Market, you’ll find us tucked in among all the shops selling fabrics and clothes. It’s a very busy part of town, and the energy from the market definitely spills into the cafe. We get a lot of people who are exhausted from haggling over prices and just need a place to sit down for twenty minutes. Our chairs are usually full of bags and packages that customers have bought throughout the day. We keep the coffee grinder going almost constantly. It’s a bit of a noisy environment, but that’s just the way it is in Hiren Cloth Market. The staff here are mostly young people from the area who are working while they finish their studies. We don’t have a corporate vibe even though the name is well-known; we run it more like a local hangout. We’ve had the same cracked tile near the entrance for months because we haven't had time to get the guy out to fix it. We focus more on making sure the fridge is cold and the water is hot. It’s a straightforward job. We sweep the floors a few times a day because of all the dust from the street, but it always finds its way back in. People come here to talk shop or meet friends, and we just provide the space and the caffeine to keep them going through the afternoon rush.
