Cafe Coffee Day

If you find yourself on 9th Cross in Sampangi Rama Nagar, you will see our Cafe Coffee Day at number 25. It is a busy little spot in Bangalore where people come in to get away from the street noise for a bit. I usually start the day by wiping down the tables and making sure the machines are warmed up. We get a lot of regulars who come in at the same time every morning, so we know exactly how they like their drinks without even asking. The shop isn't huge, so it can get a bit cramped when the lunch crowd arrives, but we manage. The smell of ground coffee is always in the air, which is nice, but it gets on your clothes after a long shift. We have some wooden chairs that have seen better days and the floor needs a good scrub more often than not. Outside, the bikes are always honking and people are rushing to their offices nearby. We just stay behind the counter and keep the orders moving. When it is quiet, we sit by the window and watch the world go by on the street. It is a lot of standing and cleaning, but the people who stop by are usually friendly enough. We are just a local spot where you can sit down for a minute, listen to the grind of the beans, and maybe read a book. Most of us have been working here for a few years now.
